2022 Philippines Multi-Sectoral Symposium: Multisectoral Collaboration in Supporting Programmes and Policies for the Mental Health of Filipino Children in the Early Years and their Families

Recognising the critical role of local governments and the private sector in promoting Early Childhood Development (ECD), the Philippine Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council, in partnership with the Asia Philanthropy Circle and its member organisations in the Philippines–Ayala Foundation, the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Ramon Aboitiz Foundation and Zuellig Family Foundation organised this symposium to bring together Early Childhood Development stakeholders including policymakers, non-government organizations and the private sector with the following objectives:

  • To present best practices in creating programs and safe spaces that promote mental health awareness for children in the early years and their families;
  • To discuss how multi-sectoral partnerships, and government policies, can support and protect children and their families’ mental health; and
  • To discuss the importance of child-centered policies that protect children’s mental health.
